Do your kids love “So You Think You Can Dance”? Now’s their chance to show off their moves or learn a few new ones! We are excited to announce that Dance Mode Studio will host a special edition of their popular Kids Night Out program on March 3, 2012! Now while you enjoy a night out, your kids can be having their own special night with their friends in the safe, supervised, fun environment at Dance Mode Studio. And Dance Mode will donate at least 50% of net profits from the evening to SCEF — what a great way to support our schools, cover your babysitting needs, give your kids an unforgettable evening, and enjoy your own night out knowing your children are in good hands! Parents do NOT need to be attending Spring Fling to take advantage of this offer.

The details:

• Hours 5-11 pm

• Open to children ages 4 and up

• Open to all families on a first come first served basis. Children do not need to be taking classes at Dance Mode Studio to participate.

• Cost $50 for first child, $30 each additional sibling

• 50 spaces available

• Event staffed by Dance Mode Studio staff along with parent and teen volunteers

• Activities to include dance performances by staff and production dancers, movie, art project and games

• Space for younger children to rest if parents want to send sleeping bags/pillows/pajamas

• Dinner served, including pizza, fruit, and treats

• Dance Mode Studio will hold emergency forms completed by parents, indicating contact numbers, and child’s allergies, if applicable

• Dance Mode Studio will to SCEF!!

Clarification about San Carlos Day at the Giants & Anthem program: Bidding for the K-4 anthem singing at the game (June 14 at 12:45p.m.) will be available ONLY at Spring Fling for 150 spaces. Any unsold spaces after Spring Fling will be available on the post online auction the week after the March 3 fundraiser.

Dudes, if we can gather and sell 250 bottles of primo wine, we can raise $7,500 bones for our little grommets at Spring Fling on March 3! So check out your wine cellar, grab some bottles, and donate some slammin’ sauvignon, crazy cab or pimpin’ pinot! You can also donate phat cash and with our cool connections, we can buy wine at cost! And don’t forget to ask your neighbors and relatives, bro! And lastly, because we all have totally tubular taste buds, let’s keep these bottle donations at a minimum of $25 in value.

Join in the fun and sell Spring Fling Raffle tickets between now and February 16 to qualify for totally awesome prizes! Prizes awarded to students who participate in the raffle ticket sales contest include iFly indoor skydiving excursion, iPod Touch, tickets to Great America and Gilroy Gardens, Cowabunga Creamery ice cream scoop, gift certificates to Bounce U, The Elephant Bar, Bel Mateo and more.

Look for your student’s raffle packet in their backpack this week. Turn-in deadlines for STUDENT prizes are Thursday, February 9 and Thursday, February 16.  Prize drawings will differ depending upon when your student chooses to turn in their ticket sales. The Spring Fling Raffle is an annual fundraiser for the San Carlos School District. Ticket sales for the annual Spring Fling gala on March 3, 2012 began in December and continue up through the event date. Spring Fling raffle winners will be announced at the March 3 event, but YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE PRESENT TO WIN. Have fun and mahalo!

Get prepared for kickin’ tunes, righteous dancing, awesome silent and live auctions, and more prizes and fun than Maverick waves at the 9th annual Spring Fling event, which will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 6-11:30pm in the Fiesta Hall at the San Mateo Event Center. Last year, this totally tubular event raised over $500,000 for all seven of our schools so crave that wave and join the fundraising fun!

The silent and live auctions are key fundraisers and we cannot do either without quality goods, parties/events and services to sell.  Donations can still be made and will be featured in our online auction and at Spring Fling.  Thank You!!
