What is a Spring Fling Buck?
It’s like a gift card for Spring Fling, only better. The purchase of “Spring Fling Bucks” guarantees a 10% savings at the Magical Masquerade up to the amount of Bucks in your account. If you plan to attend Spring Fling on March 6, 2010, consider saving some money by purchasing $200 in Spring Fling Bucks for only $180. There is no limit, so unmask your savings potential!
How does it work?
Spring Fling Bucks are sold at a 10% discount. If you win an auction item for $100 and you pre-purchased $100 in Spring Fling Bucks, your Bucks will be applied toward that purchase and the cost to you was only $90. You saved 10% on your auction item! The Bucks you buy will be applied as a credit to your Spring Fling account (which is the same as your bid number).
Spring Fling Bucks are non-refundable.
Spring Fling Bucks are non-refundable. In addition, because the needs at our schools require 100% of funds raised (not only 90% spent to buy Spring Fling Bucks) they cannot be used to make a Fund-A-Need donation. However, any Buck that is not spent at Spring Fling will automatically be donated to Fund-A-Need at the amount paid to purchase the unused Bucks. For example, $50 of unused Bucks will become a $45 donation to Fund-A-Need.
Is there a DEADLINE to purchase?
Yes. Spring Fling Bucks must be purchased by February 11, 2010. Buy them now, before they magically disappear.
Can I give Spring Fling Bucks to others?
Yes, but only until February 20, 2010. The purchaser of Spring Fling Bucks can transfer Bucks in their account in $25 increments to other Spring Fling guests. Give them as a gift to teachers, friends, family, or your spouse for a birthday, anniversary, or just because. After February 20, 2010, all Spring Fling Bucks are non-transferable.

Summary of Rules and Restrictions:
Spring Fling Bucks are non-refundable. They are sold in $25 increments and can only be used toward purchases at Spring Fling on March 6, 2010, except Fund-A-Need. All Bucks not used by March 7, 2010 will automatically be donated to Fund-A-Need by the holder of the Bucks in the amount originally paid to purchase them. Spring Fling Bucks are sold for 10% less than the total amount of Bucks purchased. Therefore, when calculating total proceeds from the event to benefit the San Carlos schools, items purchased with Spring Fling Bucks will be calculated based on the amount received when the Spring Fling Bucks were purchased. The deadline to purchase is February 11, 2010. Spring Fling Bucks are transferable in $25 increments to other Spring Fling guests until February 20, 2010; they cannot be transferred after February 20, 2010. Bucks will be applied to Spring Fling purchases made on March 6, 2010 in the following order: (1) Silent Auction, (2) Live Auction, (3) Heads or Tails game, (4) Diamond Martini Bar, (5) other purchases, except for Fund-A-Need donations.
